All Teaching Institutions are required to have a designated Course Upload Administrator (CUA).
Although Teaching Institutions already have the capability to update courses and sections within ACS, only users who are designated as Course Upload Administrator (CUA) have the necessary permissions to upload course and section information to ACS.
Requirements
Acadeum Certification
Users must complete certification through Acadeum to be designated as a Course Upload Administrator for their Teaching Institution. This certification requirement is to ensure institutions have the correct information needed to appropriately post courses on ACS.
To become certified as a Course Upload Administrator, please watch the training videos and complete the required quiz by clicking the following link:

Teaching Institution Approval
Upon successful completion of certification, users who are assigned the Institution Administrator or Teaching Administrator role are automatically approved for CUA designation. CUA permissions will be granted by Acadeum within 2 business days of certification.
Upon successful completion of certification by users who are not assigned the Institution Administrator or Teaching Administrator role, Acadeum will request approval from their TI to designate the user as CUA. Only TI users with the Institution Administrator or Teaching Administrator roles can provide CUA approval. CUA permissions will be granted by Acadeum for these users within 2 business days of receiving approval from the TI.
See Admin Center > User Management to verify a user's role at your institution.
User Eligibility
Only individual user accounts are eligible for CUA designation.
Although some TIs utilize a shared email or distribution list for a Group user account, Group user accounts are not eligible for CUA designation. This requirement assists the TI in maintaining quality course data by ensuring only individuals who have completed the required certification are granted CUA capabilities. The Group user account can still be utilized for non-CUA tasks.
If the certified individual does not already have an individual user account on ACS, Acadeum will work with the TI to create an individual user account for that individual. The user will be assigned the View Only role to have CUA designation but not receive email notifications.
Changing the Designated CUA
Add a New CUA
Acadeum will follow the Requirements standards above when designating new CUAs. Teaching Institutions cannot assign the CUA designation to users who have not completed Acadeum's certification process.
More than one user at a Teaching Institutions can be designated as CUA. Each user must still complete certification through Acadeum.
Remove an Existing CUA
To remove the CUA designation from a user's profile, please submit a request to Courses@Acadeum.com. Acadeum will contact the TI's Institution Administrators and Teaching Administrators to verify any requests prior to removal.
