Release Summary: Enhanced Login with SSO and Search Optimization
This release provides enhancements to login configuration for both admin and student apps, SSO for the admin app, and multiple bug fixes and performance improvements.
What’s New
Self-Service Authentication Configuration
Customers can now configure authentication settings for both the Admin App and Student App. Through the self-service configuration interface, institution administrators can choose, per application, whether they want to authenticate using a password established through Acadeum, or they want to use their institution’s SAML SSO provider. This will permit institutions to use different authentication configurations for Student App users and Admin App users.
For the Student App, which already supports the option for SAML SSO or Acadeum authentication, the institution’s authentication configuration will be prepopulated with the authentication method previously in use. That is, if they are currently using SAML SSO, they will continue to use SAML SSO.
For the Admin App, which previously only supported Acadeum authentication, the institution must opt-in to using SAML SSO.
