Consortial course
When a student takes a course at another institution (Teaching Institution) under a consortial agreement, the course grade and credit are transcribed on the Home Institutions transcript. Under a consortial agreement, the Teaching Institution sends student grades to the Home Institution through the Acadeum Course Share Administrator Application. Teaching Institutions and Home Institutions use import and export files to load and download grades, and the Acadeum Course Share Administrator Application sends emails when grades are due (Teaching Institution) and available (Home Institution).
Transfer course
When a student takes a course at another institution without a consortial agreement, the course grade and credit are transcribed on the Teaching Institution’s transcript. The student must request to have the Teaching Institution transcript sent to the Home Institution to receive credit at the Home Institution. After a student completes a transfer course, the Acadeum Course Share application will send him or her an email with a link to the Teaching Institution’s transcript portal so that the transcript can be sent to the home institution.
